Schools Energy Efficiency Scheme

The Department of Education and Science unveils the Energy Efficiency Scheme 2009 for Primary and Post Primary Schools.

The new Energy Efficiency Scheme for primary and post primary schools provides a 100% grant for specific works aimed at improving insulation levels. The scheme allows for installation of roof and wall insulation to reduce heat loss. The scheme aims to improve comfort in buildings, reduce energy costs and contribute to the Governments' national target for reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
